Food: The food received mixed reviews but was generally noted as plentiful, varied, and suitable for families, with options such as pancakes for breakfast and poolside snacks.

I braved it as a single mum to take me and my 12 year old son away. This place is absolutely perfect. The staff are amazing and friendly so welcoming from the cleaners, bar staff, hospitality staff and management. The life guards also the entertainment staff so encouraging and talented. The food as delicious and varied. This place is spotless. So so clean. We will definitely be visiting again thanks so much all at Kapetanis aqua resort you gave us such a lovely time. It was the recharge I needed as a busy working mummy. I felt safe and looks after. The jeep your Evis was perfect too. Also the massage wow!

Arrived back from a weeks stay mid October - weather was lovely , we was a family of four in a one bedroom apartment which was really spacious cleaned everyday no complaints at all. Location - down the bottom Of a very steep hill and about 10 min walk to coral bay ***** . On the beach but the beach was very rocky and no sand . Sunbeds - you could always get one. Food - snack bar a great hit especially with kids selling nuggets chips burgers pizza etc. Buffett lunch and evening meal hit and miss , not the best . Breakfast not the best either but you could always find somthing . I found it bizzare how the outside eating area was where they did the evening entertainment, you don’t want be sat around people stil eating their meals . Cleaness - hotel grounds and rooms lovely , pool areas was dirty , some ignorant people that when eating at the snack bar would leave all their rubbish around the pool or left on the tables , all empty plastic cups left around the pool and would often stil be there the next day , never once saw anybody cleaning around the pool. Pools - one indoor pool which was freezing , one large outdoor pool , one mini pool where kids loved to play volley ball , pools was quite cool but maybe it was the time of year , water park was a great hit with the slides and the lazy river was fantastic. Shop on site very expensive absolutely rip off . Kids club , park , entertainment through the day which was basic , night time entertainment hit and miss . Drinks - all inclusive cocktails awful Beer drinkable Slush’s €4 which in my opinion shouldn’t need pay if all inclusive. Ice cream only was given at certain Times of the day . Overall we had a decent stay just some things let the hotel down .

If I could I would probably give it 3 5. We came as a group of 9 and that on itself had problems as there seemed to be a number of large groups and the hotel struggled to accommodate them. Location - it is down a steep hill but unless you have mobility issues it wasn't a problem. There is a "beach" but we couldn't make it over the rocks into the water. You could walk to Coral beach in about 15 mins if that's your thing. In a few minutes you were on a ***** of shops and bars if you wanted to get out. Rooms - i really liked the little blocks of rooms and despite our 4 rooms being scattered around the site you are never very far from each other. The rooms are clean and have air con and a patio. I thought they were very spacious with toiletries and towels provided plus a free safe. A little kitchenette too with tea and coffee. What we lacked were privacy curtains. Our room backed onto the road and gym and so had to keep curtains closed a lot as there were no nets. We also struggled with ants and we weren't the only ones in our party. Finally a small minibar would have been appreciated for all inclusive guests. Pool - Nice pool with a separate pool for watersports plus the aqua park. Plus an indoor pool and gym. Toilets were an issue as they were downstairs in the dark until we found some half way through the holiday in the aqua park. They didn't get cleaned enough during the day and could do with more and better signage. Not enough sun beds in desired areas. Some areas were very shaded for most of the day and about a quarter of the umbrellas didn't work. Although sunbed wars started early (around 7.30) I didn't see many unused beds for any length of time. Not enough cleaning up of plates and cups around pool area. Food - I was quite disappointed in the food to be honest. The meat was not very lean and very bony with some strange themes in the evening. Probably not as much selection as other hotels I have stayed in and some nights struggled to find much unless you wanted chips. The salad bar was really good though and was on at lunch and dinner. The staff worked really hard and generally were very quick at clearing and resetting although we struggled with a large enough table. The snack bar was good if you wanted nuggets and chips or a salad. We tried the Italian restaurant and were very much looking forward to Pannacotta which we didn't get! Drinks range was fair with quite a few cocktails, spirits and beer on offer at both bars. The staff on the bars worked really hard and were always busy. Lama on the pool bar was always polite and helpful and even did us drinks with reduced alcohol as we found them quite strong. Female with red hair on the main bar was great too. Entertainment - Day entertainment was good with Bethany and a couple of others getting us up and joining in fun activities. Night time was where we really felt let down. The stage is at the back of the restaurant and if you came to dinner mid shift it was very hard t

We stayed at the Kapetanios during the October half term with a group of 8 including 2 children (5yo and 2yo). From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is tidy, the food is ok (not much for people with food allergies) the pool is superb and the general vibe of the place is busy and loud, perfect for little ones but not for those that prefer a quiet hotel. Room was tidy and in good condition, cleaned daily and fresh towels laid out too. The pool area is superb with lots and lots of loungers. The aqua park is brilliant for little ones and big ones. Draw backs for this hotel are 1: location, it’s down a steep hill that you have to walk down and up every time you want to go anywhere (including arrivals and departure with luggage) The beach is not really a beach, it’s an area of rocks and weeds that has an incredible potential to be a really special beach. 2: the pool side snack and drinks bar is manned by minimal staff and queues get very big. 3: the toilet situation is poor, you have to either go up a flight of stairs in the hotel or down a dark and slippery flight of stairs to the basement. But really don’t let my opinion sway you as we did have a great time and the staff are so lovely and happy and make your stay pleasant. This hotel has massive (and I mean massive) potential to be one of the best in the area once the new owners have renovated and improved areas. My recommendation as a traveller would be start with the basics of welfare, get a new toilet block built near to the pool and aqua park, and run a shuttle service up the hill and back for €2 per person return, you’d make a fortune!

We went mid October and what an amazing holiday! We arrived late and was given sandwiches and the receptionist was very polite. We got to our room and wow, we were so pleased with the location. It was a sea view and although we didn't pay for one, we were so happy with it! Our room was clean, modern and spacious. Plenty of storage. The breakfast was our favourite and dinner was just as good, quality over quantity id say. The only negative was that people rushed to go in at 7pm and it was rather busy. Some people didn't know how to queue either. Im an early riser and i did secure the sea facing sunbeds each day and enjoyed watching the sun rise, after 10am it was hard to find good loungers. We all loved the lazy river and slides and we enjoyed snorkeling in the sea, yes it is rocky but nothing water shoes couldn't sort out. We went half board and the waiter checked daily to make sure we weren't taking any soft drinks from the dining area and making sure we were purchasing from the bar. Breakfast drinks were included. The staff were friendly and worked hard. Towels could be replaced more often. Weather was beautiful and the walk up to coral bay ***** was a bit of a climb but worth it for nice restaurants. You would struggle if you had mobility problems. We were leaving as it got very busy with a few rowdy families that could have potentially ruined our stay. Overall we had the most beautiful, fun and brilliant time making memories. We were allowed to leave luggage stored for late checkout and able to use the showers before leaving. Thank you kapetanios, we loved it. Cyprus was so perfect.

We spent one week at the Kapetanios Aqua resort, and it honestly felt like a slice of heaven. Beautiful resort, spotless rooms and such a welcoming relaxed atmosphere from the moment we arrived we were greeted by Tony a lovely man who made us feel right at home and thank you again for getting us into the Italian night, we loved it. The kids practically lived in the waterpark while my husband and I spent our days relaxing by the pool sipping perfectly made cocktails from our smiley bar Lama who remembered our drink every day and super nice. With views like this and staff who genuinely care how could you not fall in love with this place? Can’t wait to come back. Thank you for an Unforgettable week.

We are a family of 3 and we found this hotel overall very good. The staff were lovely and were always willing to support and help. Pools were lovely and well mantained. The food was good quality and something for everyone. However the fact they charge for bottles of water (and charge 3 times the price of local shops!) Really let's them down. We cant drink water and the shops are 2 really big slopes away so carrying water down is a mission! I felt the hotel was taking advantage with this. Even if they left bottles of water each day in the room would have been better. They also charge for slushy which didn't effect us but caused our friends a lot of expense as they are 4 euros each . However overall we would recommend this friendly well maintained and clean hotel x

What a disappointment If you're used to 4* hotels, don't bother coming here. It is 2* at best. We arrived at midnight and were shown to our family suite. No bedding in the room for the sofa beds for the kids, so had to wait for that to arrive and then had to make the beds ourselves. Not a great start. The buffet restaurant is over crowded and the food is recycled for days. Kids menu is limited to chicken nuggets, chips and sweetcorn, everyday. We ate off site on several occasions. Sunbeds gone by 8am. To me all inclusive means all inclusive. Had to pay extra for some cocktails and slushys for the kids. Overpriced on site shop. Entertainment is repetitive and extremely loud until at least 11pm. Returned to our room and greeted by ants. Thousands of them. We had to put pressure on reception team to offer us a new room. They eventually gave in and moved us to an upstairs room - not great with a pushchair. Not a personal apology in sight for the inconvenience, just a bottle of wine in the room 2 days later. Kids enjoyed the lazy river and slides. Sketchy wifi. Would never return.
